Personal Basic
Equipment (Mask, fins, snorkel, boots and gloves)
We require
that you as a student own your basic SCUBA equipment because the proper
fit and function of this gear is a major factor in your continued
comfort and enjoyment of the wonderful sport of diving. There's no
point in getting certified if your not going to continue diving or if
your not going to enjoy the experience. "Diving is a fun sport"
If you don't already own your
basic gear you can expect to pay $140.00 - $400.00 for everything
you'll need. Fit is one of the most important aspects of your personal
gear but there is also a large range of features and innovations
that can help to make your diving experience as pleasurable as possible.
Be sure to talk to your dive store professional or instructor to make
sure what your buying fits you and has the features and benefits that
will best suit the type of diving you're planning on doing.
There have
been tremendous innovations in diving equipment in recent years
including the revolutionary split fin design (propeller fin) which
reduces effort while increasing speed, as rated and reviewed by US Navy
Seal Teams, and newer softer silicones which help provide a better fit
and seal for masks and snorkels. These are just a couple of the places
where spending dollars can make good sense and where your dive store
professional or instructor can help you to make an intelligent choice to
fit your diving needs and your personal budget.
Take your PADI Open Water course in a nice, warm, comfortable $2500.00 DUI Drysuit System for only $150.00 more
(includes additional training and drysuit and undergarment rental)
